The Fallen Heroes pictured below represent the tragic human cost of the British Forces campaign in Afghanistan since October 2001 and the conflict in Iraq since March 2003.

Servicemen from this area who have given their lives in active service in Afghanistan include:

Flight Sergeant Gerard Martin BellCaptain Jim Philippson, 29, from St Albans, who died on 11 June, 2006, in a firefight with suspected Taliban forces. Click on Jim's photo to add your memories or messages of support to his tribute page.

 

 

Flight Sergeant Gerard Martin BellPrivate Robert Foster, 19, from Harlow in Essex, who died on 23 August, 2007 in a so-called "friendly fire" incident that also killed two other British soldiers. Click on Robert's photo to add your memories or messages of support to his tribute page.
